Tierra del Fuego has a variety of landscapes from north to south. In the central region of the island, you can enjoy horseriding in the company of experienced guides.
You can take a ride along the shores of Lake Fagnano, or explore the surroundings of Tolhuin, following a trail that borders a lagoon called Laguna Negra, located in a dense forest of lenga and ñires (native trees). This path will take you across streams, ravines, beaver dams and a large peat bog. Occasionally black-necked swans and beavers can be spotted.

You can also go on a three-day ride along the Andes Mountain Range, following a trail opened in 1900 by pioneer Lucas Bridges with the help of Selk'nam natives. This trail was used to herd cattle and join Estancia Harberton, located on the north coast of the Beagle Channel, with Estancia Viamonte, located 45 kilometers south of Río Grande.

These tours are not available on a daily basis, so it's advisable to contact local agencies and tour operators in advance.
