When the snow season comes Tierra del Fuego becomes a postcard of white mountains and blue waters. Cold days are perfect for tasting the delicious local cuisine, while you're touring around the town, taking pictures and treasuring memories. A roasted lamb, a kingcrab or a coffee with cake are great choices to enjoy those special moments.

A winter day can be spend in the valleys skiing, skating on ice, walking with snow-shoes or taking a ride in a snowmobile. If you like sailing, take a boat trip through Beagle Channel and be amazed by its fauna. In the Río Pipo Valley you can take a train and get to the National Park, a beautiful natural reserve with a pristine lake, a bay and easy trails.

In the area kown as the Heart of the Island, enjoy a walk on the shores of Lake Fagnano and spend the night in a cozy cabin  in Tolhuin. Heading North, the town of Río Grande, the steppes and the South Atlantic sea will give you another sight of the island's diversity.

And when darkness falls more excitement awaits, with night tours in the winter centres, dinner by a fireplace or enjoying a drink at a local bar in Ushuaia.
