On the 9th of July Tierra del Fuego celebrates the arrival of the season with a free event that gathers locals and visitors alike.
The Winter Festival it's a traditional event that takes place at the Cerro Castor ski resort. A new edition will be held on the 9th of July, which includes live music, ice skating and hockey on ice, sculptures, free masterclasses and tastings of local products.
The Festival ends with a group of professional skiers descending with torches from the Halcon Peregrino slope to light up a cauldron and welcoming the winter season.
