Walking the first 3 kilometers of the trail that leads to the Sofia Lagoon, inside the Provincial Reserve "Corazón de la Isla", you will arrive to the point where a 3 kilometers more trail starts, which takes you to the shores of the Fagnano Lake. This route presents some steeper slopes, but in general it is a trekking of medium difficulty. The surrounding landscape consists of a forest of tall lengas, ñires, peat and beaver woods. Towards the final stretch, the terrain descends steeply until you reach the shores of the lake, from where you get a magnificent panoramic view of the area. Recommendations for visitors Remember that you are entering a protected area, and natural habitat of numerous species. Do not pollute or damage the forest or waterways with garbage. Be sure to take back any waste you generate during your hike with you. Do not damage or remove the information signs posted on the trails. The purpose of these signs is to mark the circuits and guide the hiker. Respect the indications of the park rangers for your safety and that of other visitors. Do not disturb the fauna of the reserve. Whenever you set out on a hike, be sure to wear appropriate clothing, footwear, and equipment. Avoid staying out too late and only take routes that are appropriate for your fitness level.
