Horseback riding in Río Grande

In Río Grande you can enjoy horseback riding tours that will take you to places full of history and wild nature. These are the three circuits available for horseback riding between October and March.

Laguna Los Patos

This ride starts at the Club de Campo La Cimarrona and has an estimated duration of 45 minutes. From the Club's stables you ride through the fields that border Rio Grande's airport, until you get to Laguna de los Patos, a natural reserve with trails and informative signs where it is possible to spot several species of birds. From there you ride back to the Club.

Cabo Domingo

Leaving from La Cimarrona, this ride has a total duration of 5 hours (round trip). Going through the fields that border the city's airport, you will cross National Route 3, and then head north, until you reach the beach shore. A short ride along the sea will take you to the imposing Cabo Domingo
Once there, there is a one-hour break to have a snack and walk around the place, which has excellent panoramic views of the coast. The sound of the Atlantic Ocean and the vast horizon are an unforgettable memory. 
To return to the Club La Cimarrona, you can choose between riding or get into a vehicle in case you feel tired. 

Horseback riding to the Estancia María Behety

This is the longest tour, with a total duration of 6 hours (round trip). The ride starts at La Cimarrona, and then goes along Provincial Route C, towards Estancia María Behety. Upon arrival, you can have lunch and explore this historical ranchwhich dates back to 1897.  Once the tour is over you can return to the Club La Cimarrona by riding or by car.
