The Laguna Negra Provincial Reserve is located near Tolhuin. The path to access this area is of low difficulty, and it is well signposted. You can enter walking from the northern head of Lake Fagnano, or from the town of Tolhuin, taking the path called "Landscape in motion", which leads to the entrance of the reserve. During the walk the visitor can appreciate the particular scenery of the center of the island, composed by forests of lengas and ñires, peat bogs, beaver forests and the imposing Fagnano Lake extending from east to west. One of the points with the best panoramic view of the route is the Peninsula del Viento. Towards the end of the trail you reach Laguna Negra, a water mirror that is separated from Lake Fagnano by a gravel cord, originated by a great seismic movement.
